Melissa, TX

Melissa, TX. Railroad crossing after the bizarre winter ice storm. The trees along this stretch of Highway 5 between Anna and Melissa were like shards of glass had landed in them.

Melissa, TX

Melissa, TX. Well with the first freeze warning in North Texas it seemed like a good time to post one of my favorite winter scenes. Taken on a rare snowy February just off the Highway 75 east service road near the 121 intersection.

Engagement Shoot

Dallas, TX. Recently I worked with my son and his beautiful wife-to-be on their engagement photos. She was a natural and needed no coaching at all which is a photographer's dream!

Dallas, TX. The Dallas Arboretum had so many great places to shoot engagement pictures. We wore each other out!

Dallas, TX. The outside seating at the AllGood Cafe in Deep Ellum proved to be an outstanding location with great texture and reflection.

Dallas, TX. Candid shot on a street corner in Deep Ellum. Wow, what a fantastic place to shoot!
Dallas, TX. There are multiple walls covered with cool graffiti in Deep Ellum. This one had completely covered walls on both east and west sides of an empty parking lot.

Dallas, TX. Another great find for a combination of texture and shapes. The outfits were chosen ahead of time knowing where we were headed both days. A tour of the area two weeks before making notes proved genius!

Dallas, TX. This shot was taken near the DMA and Klyde Warren Park above Woodall Rogers near the arts district.

Dallas, TX. A great place to end the evening was Savor in Klyde Warren Park. This is a combination of two shots in order to get the white balance correct for the background since the flash fired on the subjects.

Sedona, AZ. Castle Rock at sunset. I had to wade out in knee deep water with no waterproof bags to hold my gear and balance on some rocks to get this shot.

Williams, AZ. Great little diner along the old Route 66. Taken on our trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ which I highly recommend!

Anna, TX

Anna, Texas. Night exposure of the "old downtown area". I had to retake this shot 5 times as unexpected traffic at 10:30 PM kept turning into the lens as I was standing in the middle of the street!

Anna, TX. First Christian Church of Anna, (Black plaque № 14694), was one of the earliest Christian churches in Texas, founded in northern Collin County by pioneer settlers Collin McKinney and J.B. Wilmeth in 1846. Night exposure around 9PM with full moon rising in the east.

Bar Harbor, ME. The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa was the perfect place to stay with a view of the bay and great shopping and dining a short stroll away!
Riverside, RI. The pond behind the house I grew up in was a bit smaller than I recalled as a 5 year old but still holds great childhood memories!

Bar Harbor, ME. The town and its coastline was just so scenic. Sadly the Acadia National Park was closed...thanks Uncle Sam!
Salem, MA. We saw many interesting items here other than the the usual Salem witch trial sites that we had already visited in an earlier trip.
